Wednesday Night Activities:
Shepherding a Child's Heart Part 2: This past fall a group of parents gathered each Wednesday to talk about the ups & downs of parenting. Tedd Tripp's "Shepherding a Child's Heart" DVD was our launching point for our table discussions. We start each week with dinner at 6:30 & begin the video shortly after 7:00. A $3 donation per person for dinner helps with the dinner cost. Join us on Wednesday nights in breaking bread together, for insightful teaching from Tedd Tripp & open sharing.

GriefShare: Wednesdays at 7:00 in Room B1 (GCS Conference Room). GriefShare is a grief recovery support group where you can find help & healing for the hurt of losing a loved one.

"Battle for Israel Class": Wednesdays...March 10, 17, 24, and April 7. (No class on March 31 due to communion service on April 1st) Classes are 7-8:15pm. Each class features a 25 minute video by Dr. Ed Hindson. Then there is a 25 minute presentation by Brian Latourelle, followed by group discussion. These classes promote understanding of current events in the Middle East & explore what the Bible says will happen in Israel in the future.

What He Said Sermon Series: February 7 through March 21. The seven sayings of Jesus as he was being crucified. A penny for your thoughts...what if those thoughts are of a dying man? They'd be worth a lot more than a few pennies. But what if that dying man was Jesus?

Women's Retreat "Girlfriend Power: You Are Not Alone!": Next Sunday, February 28th, is the final day to register! We will be at Heartland Conference Center March 19 & 20 & Karen Cole will be our speaker. There are 2 room options...Forestview Lodge (hotel style room with 4 to a room) at $65 per person & the traditional retreat center (dorm style room with bunks & commons area) at $55 per person. Saturday only is $30 & includes breakfast & lunch.

Friend Day: Palm Sunday, March 28, will be a special day at East Side..."Friend Day!" What makes this day unique is that we will view the DVD "The Heart of Texas." Here is a brief description of the movie:
When tragedy pierces the heart of a small community on the quiet Texas plains, its townspeople witness what can happen when grace & forgiveness triumph over anguish & outrage. Against the clamorous traffic of our crowded lives, a story of such tender mercy can seem more of a work of fiction or a wishful tale... yet every moment of this unbelievable story is true. Pray over a friend to invite.

Easter Egg Hunt:
Saturday, April 3rd. We need individually wrapped candy donations for our hunt! Please drop off in the Easter basket in the Mission Control Area through March 21st.

Summer Work Project:
The Kentucky trip will take place from June 26-July 3. There will be an informational meeting on February 28th at 12:15 in Room C10.
